Button Bow, an intricate crafted collaboration.
Unveiled at Róisín Pierce’s Paris Fashion Week presentation, which took place on March 7, 2025 at the Embassy of Ireland in Paris, it is a meeting of the brand’s feminine, poetic universe and Polène’s signature leather craft.
The collaboration marks the first time Polène has invited an independent brand to design a collection of bags, giving her the opportunity to use leather as a new mode of expression for her singular design vision, underlined by purity, softness, and beauty. With intricately crafted smocking, lace, and crochet, she creates soft sculptures and novel floral forms that expand the horizons of textile fabrication.
From the symbiosis between the two brands in the leather workshops in Ubrique, Spain, emerged two harmonious designs: the Button Bow Box and the Button Bow Sphere. Each is adorned with buttons and bows, hand-stitched by highly skilled artisans. They form an intricate lattice design echoing Róisín Pierce’s design world.
Designed as objets d’art, the ornate bags invite you to appreciate each rare and intricate detail in a selection of porcelain, cloud, or ink tones. Full-grain Dutch nappa leather—supple, lustrous, and minimally treated—was the material of choice.
In Ireland, the homeland of Róisín Pierce, on the Wicklow Mountains, the bag collection is brought to life through the lens of photographer Ola Rindal.
